Modeling Articles

Hobbies take place in the cellar and
smell of airplane glue.

~ John Updike, American novelist

At High Plains Modelers, every build has a story—and yours deserves to be told. Whether it’s a recent project, an old favorite, or something experimental, we’d love to feature it on the club website!

Many of these articles are written by your fellow HPM members, others were aggregated from around the web.

If you would like to contribute, adding your own experiences here is easy to do. Have some tips or tricks that you’ve found work really well? Build a kit or read a book and want to do a review? Tell your fellow members what is currently on your workbench. Did you get some great reference photos from your trip to a museum last summer or have you got some historical narratives that might make a good modeling subject for that next diorama?

By sharing your work, you’ll inspire fellow modelers, spark new ideas, and keep the club’s creative energy flowing. Plus, your build might just be the one that helps a newcomer take their next big step!
