June Model of the Month

How-to Clinic:
Jon C. demonstrated his vacuum forming tool.

Jon mentioned watching this YouTube video from Scale Model Workshop to build his vacuum forming tool and start making vacuum formed parts like airplane canopies. Jon’s advice, take your time and get lots of practice heating the plastic sheet (styrene, PET-G, Acryllic, or Acetate). Too much or too little heat can cause issues, you need to get it just right.
Adam Savage from Tested has another video that is a must watch if you are interested in vacuum forming.
