DESCRIPTION:Big Boy whistlestops in Greeley – Colorado Model Railroad Museum and in Eaton\, Colorado. \nThe Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 will be making two whistle-stops in Northern Colorado\, Tuesday September 30 at the Colorado Model Railroad Museum in Greeley\, Colorado\, and in Eaton\, Colorado on October 1 as part of a limited 2025 tour. The first stop will be on Tuesday\, September 30\, between 12:45 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. MDT\, and the second stop will be in Eaton on Wednesday\, October 1\, between 12:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. MDT. The locomotive will be traveling from Cheyenne\, Wyoming to Denver\, Colorado on September 30\, and returning on October 1. See the event website for more details. \nDetailed Schedule: \n\nSept. 30\n\nCheyenne\, Wyoming\, departs 11 a.m. MDT\nWhistle Stop at the Colorado Model Railroad Museum\, Greeley\, Colorado\, 12:45 p.m.-1:15 p.m. MDT\n\n\nOct. 1\n\nEaton\, Colorado\, 12:30 p.m.-1 p.m. MDT (park west of Highway 85 and cross at the Collins Street pedestrian crosswalk)\nCheyenne\, Wyoming\, 2:30 p.m.-3:15 p.m. MDT; operational move to turn locomotive at Speer\, Wyoming\, returning to Cheyenne 5 p.m. MDT.\n\n\n\nThere will be no public access to the locomotive in Cheyenne or Denver due to security and safety concerns\, according to the Union Pacific Railroad. \nNote: Parking will be very limited\, plan to arrive early.
